I like the idea of being able to open it all the way up. While they might look nearly identical at first blush there are some major differences between the two. Both lexan and acrylic are common transparent plastics used for utv and off road vehicle windshields. While it does cost a little more to use polycarbonate it offers superior strength and durability compared to lower priced acrylic options from the competition. If you put glass and acrylic side by side you ll notice that the view through acrylic is slightly brighter and clearer than the view through glass because more visible light is getting through. Mar resistant we use a polycarbonate lexan that is optically read for clarity.
